I was not aware the James family had slaves, and to see the slave quarters inaccurately furnished really diminished the experience. We also couldn't go inside the house and had to take pictures from outside. The staff though is extremely friendly and we're able to answer all of our questions.

We were there before they opened. I just wish they would let you know the distance you will walk. I’m disabled and I don’t fancy one of your wheelchairs if I could make it without it. lol
