This company is a nightmare to deal with over the phone. They will make you call American water just to have them direct you back to KC water. After a month of trying to get a billing issue resolved we gave up and went to the building directly. The customer service lady has a terrible attitude and nothing was resolved.

Poor customer service. Called to ask why they are saying on my bill that a house of two is using 133 gallons of water a day, adding up to 4001 gallons a month. They told me that they would not dispute the bill. I took the GPS coordinates of my water meter in my basement, and I have been taking pictures of the readings. Comes to find out I have used 150 gallons of water in 4 days.....so I call them to see what they show me using and they told me in the time frame I provided, I used 170 gallons in one day, 112 gallons on another day, and 74 gallons on the other day. Inaccurate, and I don’t have a leak either. My meter is reading correctly, but they are not reporting it correctly. Court is how you settle this type of fraud.

KC Water was tasked with providing water to festival-goers in the KC Pridefest. They failed. They set up one tent, with four individual spigots, to service a population of thousands of people who were told not to bring their own water. It was a humid day of over 90 degrees. I've seen better hydration at middle school track meets.
