Going to Dr. Tague’s Center for Nutrition has changed my life in so many ways! First off, I just turned 60, and frankly I didn’t know that I could lose weight! Well, 5 months later, and I’ve lost over 60 pounds. That’s just part of it though. I am a tennis player and have become stronger and more confident than I have ever been. This past weekend I played in a 5 state playoff and went 3-0. My last match was just short of 3 hours, and I never felt tired! Do I recommend them? Absolutely!

Dr. Tague is the BEST! He changed my life! I lost over 57 lbs since I started at Center for Nutrition and I've kept it off for over 3 years! I have more energy and I feel 20 years younger!!! When I first met him, I will never forget how he took the time to get to know me and really listened to how I have struggled with my appetite over the years. It was the first time a doctor actually listened! I have tried EVERYTHING before this - WW, Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, Slim4Life - you name it I tried it - and nothing worked until this. Thank you Dr. Tague for making my life better!

What a horrible person. I feel terrible for taking my teenager here. Maybe good for adults, but not teenagers. Our daughter lost the 40 pounds, completely without any help from him. It did cost us $1,000 to figure out that he was not good.

There is no way I could have reset and lost the weight on my own, especially without tracking food and calories all day everyday. I tried but the scale didn’t budge in my late 40s. It’s pricey, but for me that is part of why I stick with it. There are also a lot of vitamins to take but it’s doable and needed because I was basically not eating all day and starving my body of nutrients. I didn’t realize how much inflammation I had. Within the first couple of days I felt my bloating gone and people noticing changes in my face. I forgot what it felt like not to be bloated and exhausted all the time. I am crazy busy, so weekly appointments have been a challenge, but I find the drinks, bars and food super convenient and time-saving. I am never hungry. The bars make it easy to cut out sugar which is a major win. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Tague couldn’t be kinder. There is a science to this and it works if you trust the process.

Unlike some cookie-cutter weight loss programs, each patient is evaluated independently and has a custom program designed for them by a physician. Everyone has individual challenges and unique needs for nutrition and problem management. Some patients have relatively little weight to lose and minor medical problems, which may mean little of our resources are needed. Others have more serious medical issues and more weight to lose. If finances are ever a concern, please discuss that with our staff so we can problem solve with you. Many of our patients use their Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA’s) and Medical Savings Accounts for visits, lab services, and nutritional supplements. If your employer offers an FSA or MSA plan, take advantage of the government approved tax benefits these plans offer. For those with low and fixed incomes, a financial assistance program available. Discounts are based on household income and number of dependents. We never want finances to be an obstacle.

Does the Doctor prescribe any type of appetite depressant; if so, what?

Is the cost a one time price? Is it expensive?

There is a financial investment involved, but since many, but not all, of our patients purchase a significant number of meal replacements at their visits, most of the funds needed can come out of a typical food and snack budget. We also offer steeply discounted financial assistance programs for those on limited or fixed incomes. We do not want finances to be an obstacle for anyone to achieve their weight and health goals. To assess an individual’s specific goals, needs, and any special financial or personal considerations, we offer an initial free, no-obligation consultation with a trained staff member to make sure you get started on the best plan possible, one that will deliver successful results, while affordable. The more dramatic weight loss approaches can mean investing more effort early in the program, but patients typically reach their goal and enter the lower cost maintenance phase sooner with that approach, often lowering overall costs and improving results.

Do you provide any medication to assist with weight loss

Our medical team of physicians, nurses, and dietitian are specially trained to support those needing medical assistance to control their weight. Some patients may need medication to address a medical issue. If prescribed, we always monitor our patients carefully to monitor health status and improvements along the way. Our patient’s safety and health are top priorities. This includes monitoring of lab tests that assess metabolism, hormone status, and health status. The significant and rapid weight reductions that typically occur in our patients require close monitoring as a safety factor. We also monitor weight reduction by testing body composition to assure that weight lost is primarily body fat, not healthy muscle and organ tissue.
