Nice and quiet area. The little walk through the trees makes you feel one with nature. The beach area does smell a little because of the few dead (small) fishes on the shore. But hey, that’s part of being in nature

Great park and less busy alternative to Lions Den. Three paths lead to pebble beach with some sandyish spots, two on left side of park and other on far opposite end! More scenic going down ravine on far side of park. Playground area for kids and a big grassy area. Great Lake Michigan access and big stretch of beach to explore!

Great park but the beach is my favorite part. Leisurely stroll to the lake on path. Very lovely secluded beach. Great for finding rocks & driftwood. Very large park with many picnic areas and playground equipment.

Beautiful, huge park with play areas for kids, picnic tables, spaces to reserve for groups, parking, and paved paths. Comparatively to other parks, Doctor's may be small but as soon as you leave the ground grass area you are into towing evergreen and deciduous trees with birds, turkeys, chipmunks, and open paths to leisurely walk, jog, and enjoy a couple of other areas as you make your way to the beach. Two access paths to the beach at each end of the park allow a pleasant walk along a gentle curve of the lake. The clean beach is a combination of sand, smooth river rock and a slow grade to the first 'drop off' in the water. Lots of room to spread out. A wonderfully quick trip to relaxation from the north side of Milwaukee.

Dogs are ok in the general park area, but not on the beach - which is pretty standard.
Sorry Laurie! These gentlemans are correct! We have to walk a trail down to the lake. I haven't ever seen a dock there.
Yes but I recommend beach shoes as this beach is not very sandy, its mostly water smoothed rocks and can be uncomfortable barefoot. There are NO lifeguards
I tried to look it on Google for ya but it not listing the hours...it states because of what is going on. Parks could be closed or have a partial opening time. I went during the day time with my boyfriend and 2 year old daughter. We even walked to the beach part (it did show a sign it was close when you drive in the parking lot) we were still seeing people walk the path and when we got there..there were people taking pic, throwing rocks in the water, or chillin with their family and friends. It was a nice day. I would assume not to go during the not time.
Down at the beach should work. There is a spot/clearing while on your way down to the beach that could work too.
Its next to Lake Michigan so in that sense yes, but I have never seen anyone fishing from the shoreline.
Well, there is a large parking lot But, I've never seen a Semi there, and you could not see the lake unless you walked.
