A beautiful place to spend a few hours. Deep in the mountains is Alan Seeger with it's 118 acres of old growth Hemlocks. It's a dark lush area with Detweiler Run and Standing Stone Creek passing through creating a fairy tail-like setting. It's never crowded and always well maintained. I try and visit at least every other year.

Though the 500 year old hemlock has fallen, there are still a ton of gorgeous trees upwards of 200 years old. Such a gorgeous forest. I can't wait to visit again🤩🤩🤩

Very beautiful! We went on the short hike. There were gorgeous towering trees, a tunnel of rhododendrons, and 3 bridges. Wonderful as a short family hike or for forest bathing.
