I wish there was a 0 start option. HORRIBLE experience! We went to the Fort Lauderdale location. My wife and I were excited to get pregnant again after having a healthy boy and then loosing a pregnancy at 20 weeks not too long ago. We came in initially for what we thought was our 8 week appointment. Did not speak to a doctor, only the ultrasound tech. I was able to see the screen by not my wife. Tech advised us we are measuring at 6 weeks and can see a slight heart flutter. We thought it was a little strange but the tech did not seem to worry about anything or even bother to ask us much. They took blood to measure hcg levels but the person taking the blood had no idea who we were and what it was for. Needless to say they lost that blood. They had scheduled my wife to go back in at 7 weeks for more blood work which seemed routine. Went back in to what was suppose to be our now 8 week ultrasound. Same tech in the same room as last time. It was apparent the tech did not even look at our file as she had no idea we were even there before. She starts and asks me if I want to take a look and says "Congratulations, you are measuring at 6 weeks!" I immediately told her that we were there 2 weeks ago and she said the same thing "measuring 6 weeks". Her reply was "Oh that's not good" We were also not able to find a heart beat flutter or hear anything. She was going to leave the room and we had to ask her what happens now. We actually had to ask to speak to a doctor as we had so many questions. She was a little reluctant but got us set up in a separate room with a nurse practitioner. My wife and I entered the room and the nurse practitioner with a huge smile on her face said "Hi! How are you guys today?" As if she did not know that we were frightened and wanting answers as to why our pregnancy was not evolving. We sat in silence for a few seconds before I answered that it could be better given we measured at 6 weeks twice two weeks apart. The nurse practitioner seemed stunned and immediately tried to save face like she knew all along. She then proceeded to say that our pregnancy was non viable as there was no heart beat and she wanted to schedule us for a D & C right away. My wife and I were both in tears at this point, as this nurse practitioner stood in front of us waiting for an answer to her D & C appointment request. It was the most awkward experience. We told her we need time to think. She asked why we only had one blood screen, not knowing they lost results already. Another blood screen happened right before we left leaving my wife's arm very bruised as the person doing it decided to turn around while in the act and the needle moved in my wife's arm. The experience was just horrible and left us with so many questions we spent days googling things. We decided to get a second opinion somewhere else. There was little hope to have different results but we just wanted someone to speak with us and not "to" us. We are so happy we went elsewhere and got treated like actual human beings. I do not recommend ANYONE to ever step foot in any facility of theirs. I have a hard time wrapping my head around how they are still in business.
