Good morning, Ms. Nelson-Lavie. Whereas we perform minimally invasive surgery of the spine, true endoscopic surgery is not something we offer at this time. Of course, we would be glad to see you as a patient but I wouldn't want you to spend your time coming in if an endoscopic approach was what you were interested in.

Good afternoon, Mr. Susi. Whenever appropriate, we perform minimally invasive surgery as opposed to open surgery. In that regard, we minimize trauma to the normal tissues and this decreases pain and shortens recovery times. However, we do not perform endoscopic surgery at this time as it is our belief that the evidence supporting the efficacy of those techniques is lacking.
At this time, we are not participating in any HMO plans.
