As a person directly connected to a loved one at this facility, according to our experience Shelby should NOT be caring for patients. She either isn't willing or may be ill-equipped for the job. However, when people are sick, elderly, and dependant on others to feel secure and safe, an attitude such as Shelby's is NOT something a patient deserves to deal with. I thought it appropriate to post, since this is about a human person's well being not an inanimate object. Places such as these ought to train its staff to pretend it is YOUR mom, dad, sister, aunt, grandma, etc. Family near and fair ought not have concerns of neglect, mistreatment. Nor should the resident fear speaking out for fear of retaliation.

My wife entered Encompass on June 29 / 2022 for a 2wk stay. She broke her hip and had surg a few days prior. Although a rehab facility in my opinion is a must, due to 2 past experiences I was somewhat apprehensive. When she arrived I had to chk in with the guard for the usual COVID stuff. He saw that I was obviously concerned having never been in the center before. He said, "you may not believe this but when peoples' 2wk stay is over they don't want to leave". I laughed and said "well, the jury is out on that one". I had elected to stay with my wife for the full 2wks sleeping in a recliner. I didn't trust anyone even though they had very good reviews. During the next 2wks I saw positive care to the likes that I could not believe. When my wife would push the button for help either the RN or CNA on duty would be in her room within a minute and a half and give her such concerned care the I was pleasantly amazed. When they would come by for their routine bp chk or pill giving they ALWAYS took extra time to chk her over, making sure she wasn't wet or uncomfortable in any way.The attention, response time and care that she got was off the charts. The only reason that I didn't rate Encompass a 10 was because the starts only went to 5.

5 stars across the board it doesn't get any better than this. I can't single anyone out because every employee in Encompass was polite and the professionalism was above and beyond , from Nurses, Therapist, case management to food service and nurse assistants, never was there nothing but good attitude and help within minutes if that, how they filled a rehabilitation hospital with this many professionals is behond me. Its 2 years old it has top of the line equipment, the beds are unbelievable, even the wheelchairs have air cushions and you never get sore from being in bed or in a wheelchair nomatter how long your in it, thats a big deal. Most rehabs i heard you cant wait to leave, this one you won't want to. I've had experiences with my dad in the pass at other rehabs and they should be shut down . This is how Care should be. Dont even blink go here if you can. I have 7 fractures in my arm and pelvic i was out in 10 days. Everything from equipment to my transportation and my next doctors appointment was takin care of by my case manager sean'e. I thank everyone that works there and they have my love.

My husband is a COVID survivor, after being in ICU for 3 months he was sent to Encompass for Rehabilitation, the facility is beautiful the nursing staff for the most part was good, except for a couple incidents that upset my husband. PT/OT did a great job, the reason I am not giving 5 stars is due to case management, it was very hard to get call backs from our case manager, or anyone in that department. It has been 2 weeks since his discharge and we have yet to receive our home care that was set up, nor a call back from the case manager. Communication needs to be better in this facility.

Yes there are Dr's working in this medical rehabilitation center and they do offer pain management.
