Poor customer experience. Will not return. Called this place to grab teppan reservations, they said they don’t take them. Come to find out that is NOT the case. Got screwed out of some birthday plans because some folks just don’t seem to be on the same page.

This place used to be good. I had chicken and lobster for 51$ and I he lobster was tuff and the chicken was like eating a rubber tire. Our whole party of 10 didn’t finish their meals it was so bad. The manager came and wouldn’t take anything off the bill gave 1 desert of chocolate ice cream with whipping cream. Ken of Japan is way better. I will never here again. The drinks were also horrible no alcohol really in a Mai tai.

Had an early dinner today with family at Cho Cho San 8/7/2022 at about 330pm. I have been to this place before at later times in the evening when it was really busy and had good experiences, but today was different. It was not busy. 1st Experience: when we were seated, one of the waiters( young chubby Hispanic guy with glasses) , gave us 2 menus. There were 3 of us. I asked for one more and he said “No, we are short on menus” Really??? The place was almost empty. He also gave me a weird obnoxious look like I was bothering him. I really think he was just too lazy to get us another one. So I get over it, no problem. The actual waiter that took our order was really pleasant ( tall skinny guy with light curly hair). I am giving physical descriptions to help out management so they can take note. So we all ordered our food. 2nd Experience: My wife receives her Ramen soup warm, not hot like soup should be. Ok, so we asked to please heat it up. 3rd Experience: Then I received my Fried Katsu Chicken sandwich, but it wasn’t a Fried Katsu Sandwich. It wasn’t our waiter who brought me my food, it was that obnoxious rude person with the glasses. I told him this was not what I ordered. I showed him the menu and he just stared at the menu like I was lying to him or something. Instead of saying, “Sorry sir, we’ll get you the right order”, he says, let me bring you Katsu sauce! I’m like really?? I told him no, PLEASE bring me what I ordered. So he took it back. 20 minutes go by. Remember, this is only like 4pm now, and the place is still relatively empty. I noticed by the kitchen door the obnoxious waiter (chubby guy with glasses) was talking about me with another waitress ( a chubby Hispanic girl) , because they were staring at our table. Finally our original waiter ( the nice one), brought me my correct order and apologized, and I told him don’t worry about it. 4th Experience: Mean while the chubby Hispanic waitress is still staring at our table giving like dirty looks. I’m thinking why? What did we do? So far by this time, our dinner experience was not good. It was hard to enjoy our meal. My son told me he even had a “strange vibe” there, especially when that chubby girl kept staring at us. And there definitely was a bad vibe there. My past experiences were not like this, this was strange. Then, just before we were finished eating, that chubby waitress came walking towards our table, and walks slowly past us and gives us a dirty look! I could not believe it. Either the owner does not care about it’s service, or they just do not know. And that is why I am writing this review. What happened to good customer service? I think those days are gone, sad to say. On the way out, as I past the front door, I saw the chubby rude waiter ( talking with a young Asian waitress, maybe supervisor) and I said “thank you”, and he gave me very nasty look. So guess what, I’ll never come back.
