I love this place. The silence is so loud, I can finally get my work done. (writing) I was also here the other day, few people here, and the silence and the enjoyment of viewing a book, was Divine.

I have mixed feelings about the Julian Dixon library. On the one hand, it's great to have a library in Culver City and the services provided here are solid. On the other hand, it is in desperate need of some additional municipal budget as well as a better parking system. There are days where I have shown up multiple times only to find there are multiple cars waiting for parking in the lot. In such instances, I see cars that have been parked in the lot for hours on end. That's a person's right when it comes to using the library. But a lack of parking regulations in the lot (Beverly Hills has a 2 hour parking limit, for example) can create a bad experience for patrons. It makes me want to limit my time here rather than see it as a treasure or true resource.

Laura Frakes and Julio Santoyo are wonderful people and that's what's really important about the library. They are just good people and care about the community and that is simply rare and simply beautiful. The library is super peaceful and super quiet with tons of great books including a wonderful section for children I have 4 year old. Laura is really wonderful and I have had awesome conversations with her about books and life and everything. She's really great and needs a promotion and some freakin appreciation. And all the other nerdy yet surprisingly hot crew is really helpful and cool. Well not that cool but at least there beautiful. There's always tons of kids there and the craz uh mentally challenged people are kept in check and never act too wild or wild at all actually. The parking tough so you might have to hit the streets. Awesome wonderful Library with plenty of computers and such a peaceful safe environment.

I know that Julian Dixon Library is NOT, but I don't know who is. Wish I knew too!

I have about 100 books, mostly hard cover and cd books. I would like to donate but, I cannot handle it myself. Would the library send someone to my house o pack the books and take them?

Check in the internet and also at Meetup for bookclubs in other libraries. Santa Monica Library would be a good start.
