Shardi the pet trainer at the Thousand Oaks location is amazing. She has a great work ethic and is very compassionate to all dogs and their owners. She truly has wonderful patience and works well with both dog and owner. She goes above and beyond to work out training strategies that work best for each individual dog. She has exceeded my expectations for PetSmarts training and is the reason we keep coming back. So much so that I look forward to class each week. So far my dog and I has taken the beginning and intermediate class and will be signing up for the advanced class next!

I'll give you the strongest reason for being really careful if you come here. one night I was walking with my dog from Ross to this store when out of the darkness with no warning an aggressive dog charged from across the parking lot and was on my dog in a split second, going after it on the walkway almost near the doors and I was afraid my dog was going to be killed, who was being attacked. the young man who was probably the owner not only wasn't sorry but looked at me like it was my fault. I was screaming for help. evidently he had allowed his dog to charge across the parking lot, but the lighting here is very poor. this very dog of mine had recently been attacked by a pitbull, we didn't need the trouble. terrible experience. there were witnesses and it was on camera but nothing was done about it, just be careful. don't know why I didn't leave a public review about this sooner, this occurred in March 2022. the lighting is non existent at night. this guy didn't even ask me if I was okay or if my dog had gotten hurt. he's lucky I have a speech disability and cannot speak. I don't suppose the store would help you. we were too shaken to not leave and go back home.
