Great vet hospital, people are exceptionally nice. It is just very, very expensive, but I suppose all vets are

Made an appt at this office in may...canceled it after read8ng the reviews...they checked in my pet as an outpatient but we cancelled the appt...this is identity theft...you can not make those decisions under my name with out my permission...this office is horrible...from the staff saying i cant handle it when you yell then get hung up on when i point out their illegal activities of checking in pets that dont have an appt with them on ththe pet owners behalf...stay away from this banfield...they are crooks and liars.

Honestly I would recommend a more cordial Banfield location. After reading the negative reviews I second guessed choosing it but did, which decision was based on the friendly man that was first over the phone. However he wasn't the one dealing with me. Not a hospitable reception and we really experienced difficulty interacting with the front desk woman. Doctor was great but the receptionist tech didn't acceptably nor positive relay communicate with us. There was a very negative woman with a scowl giving frightening looks to me and my animals and especially with what experienced in the office I'm definitely not coming back to this location! Why have refreshment equipment out on the counter when (you claim) it doesn't work and if you go to Starbucks anyway? Wow! and I was nice to everyone. Front office was overall dismissive in our interactions with her. It was a rather sparse office with a less lively vibe. I don't happily want to renew my yearly plan but won't be going back to this location. Be aware of the foregoing before calling. I regretted calling just to get in touch with the doctor after they had left a message to call. If you read this review and other critical ones please take steps to improve, Banfield. Actually someone there had booked an appointment that I didn't even know about. If I had spoken to this receptionist originally at the time of first calling them I would not have ever gone in. Don't know who that intimidating client with dark older sunglasses was but I don't care to encounter her again. The reception here was (taken as) disprepectful and its Wishlist material higher up Company people address and resolve this type of disappointment. If here as a client be not only aware of upsetting clients but aggressive dogs. In fact this receptionist judgementally warned me of possible vicious dogs there, which, only people were troublesome. No trouble with other animal patients. I was verbally cut off and talked down to also but hadn't looked again at the newer reviews before going there. I sensed this other client was in a growly, no pun, mood but unbeknowst to us she had parked next to. You just don't glare at people, their pets or children, very cruel. I'm sorry you're having a painful day but others around you deserve better. Life is difficult enough, put out a neutral face if not a basic kind one. Banfield, you can't make clients treat others kindly, but if the beverage bar is a bother, take it away and don't host a front office staff who act like they hold the cards because nice customers are an ulcer. Maybe she doesn't mean to be rude but her communication skills need some work. Go where people make you feel Safe. True, its tough these days. The Vet was great, very clear and her explanations of charges and compassion matched our expectations.

One of the worst experiences I've had at a vets office. Driving from Oxnard I caught traffic tried to call and let them know I was running late. No answer. Left a voice mail. No call back. However I got there and the staff member behind the desk was super understanding about me being late. I thought wow this is amazing. Immediately went into upselling their plans which didn't bother me to much I just wasn't interested. I made the appointment to simply talk to them about the Proheart shot. I had my dogs current shot record and it was missing the heartworm test results so I called to have them sent over. While on the phone the staff member mentioned my dog didn't have a particular shot and I knew for a fact she did. She was argumentative and dismissive. As I'm on the phone with my usual vet trying to get my dog latest heartworm test. The staff member behind the counter yells over me to ask the people behind me a question. Then gets louder as I'm trying to hear the tech on the phone so I can get the records Banfield needed so I don't need to pay for a test she's already had. After returning her attention to me I had gotten off the phone and told her I was expecting the paperwork soon I then pointed out the vile label on the records that she argued with me about not being there. Once in the exam room the staff member is being pushy, cutting me off, and asserting her point. She leaves without saying anything and comes back a few minutes later. Telling me the vet said we could do the shot and test as my girls current heartworm preventative was useless due to the way I had been administering it. I tried to explain I contacted the manufacturer and was instructed by them. The staff member interrupted me and then proceeds to use her hands to create visual that manufacturers are lower than vets. I told her I just wanted an exam no shot or test and to speak to the vet. She turns around and leaves saying someone would be in shortly to take my dog back. The tech comes to take her and informed them I was leaving. I am a professional dog trainer and the dog I had with me is my service dog. I do not allow people I do not know to handle my dog behind closed doors without me knowing them or being present. I understand a year ago this being a practice However even then vets were understanding I have certain boundaries when it comes to my dog. Being someone in the Canine field I do not blindly trust other professionals just because they call themselves professionals. The one staff member I dealt with was enough to put a bad taste in my mouth. She was rude and condescending. I urge you to find a vet that will actually speak with you and not behind a closed door behind staff that interrupts and talks down to dog owners.

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
