There are a lot of people, but it's a good place to pass the time. You can walk around in about an hour or two, but remember to wear a pair of good walking shoes

Questions & Answers

Hello, I have a friend who has been buying a wonderful cheese spread in Solvang for many years. I have never had it but she Raves about it. She says it's very rich and flavorful. I think she likes to have it warm on French bread. Please advise.

Ahh, the delectable Vin Hus on Alisal Road. One of my personal favorite businesses in Solvang. The cheese you are looking for is a spreadable cheddar blend. They also have a wide variety of other cheeses, as well as crackers and snacks of every kind, in addition to fine wine and cold beer - perfect for the makings of a fabulous picnic to enjoy at any number of outdoor parks in Solvang.

The 4 of us will be spending the day in Solvang coming from Morro Bay. What are some of the highlights not to be missed while we are there. Sightseeing, luncheon restaurants, wineries, etc. This is our first trip to Solvang. Thank you, Cherie Ross

Elverhoj Museum, walkable from downtown, free admission. Han Christian Anderson Museum, also free. Solvang Visitor Center will give map and directions. Windmills of course. Danish pastries. from one of the Bakeries.

Is this place kid friendly? I like to plan small trips for our family but not sure if it would be fun for and 8 year old and 1 year old. Also, what is there to do besides stop by the pastry shops? It's a 2 hours drive for us.

Gift shops all over town have it. You should also be able to get nice memorabilia as well
