Staff is fantastic. We asked lots of questions, and they were more than willing to take the time to answer them. Very cute and comfortable rooms. Surprised us when they supplied shampoo, conditioner and body scrub in the bathroom. Beautiful little court yard, wonderful continental breakfast. Just a pleasant stay all around. Bravo to the owners.

The hotel was somewhat of a pleasant surprise. I was nervous as we pulled up based on the surrounding neighborhood (I wouldn't recommend walking around too much). The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, and you can get coffee before 6a! It would be beneficial for the hotel to replace the carpet with tile, etc and better coffee, etc inside the rooms.

Dog beach (for off leash dogs) and the Mission beach board walk are both very close. You can also see sea lions about 15 minutes north at La Jolla children's pools.

HAS THE HOTEL EVER EXPERIENCED BED BUGS?

Dear Marilyn, To add to the hotel manager's response, bed bugs are a nationwide problem and most hotels have had them. We actually implemented a very effective inspection procedure several years ago when the problem of bed bugs first began. Our housekeepers are trained to look for these pests on a daily basis as they change linens and clean the rooms. All of our mattresses and box springs are protected with mattress encasements. In addition, we are continually rotating in-depth inspections of rooms where beds are taken apart, headboards and pictures are taken down and furniture moved. We have no control of when these pests enter our rooms, but we work diligently to combat them if/when they arrive. Thank you for contacting us. Lis, Assistant to the Owner

Waffles, toast, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, bananas, apples, oranges, orange juice, coffee, apple juice and I think there's omelettes. I saw a lady eating an omelette in there once.

Five minut walk just across parking lot and street. Might be unplesant in night because parking lot is under highway bridge.
