The new playground is pretty good and it helps that it's surrounded by lots of green space, basketball courts, and other fields. It could use better lighting for evening or night time hours.

Trail is hot and unshaded, kayaking looked promising though

Just outside the busyness (and craziness) of Palm Beach Gardens lies a little slice of Florida heaven. Being able to witness natural beauty and the animals in their habitat is calming and refreshing. A must visit for all nature (and silence) lovers for sure!! So thankful that places like this still exist. It seems like more and more of our natural lands are being bulldozed down and replaced with oil and concrete!

You cannot. No dogs (or any other pets) are allowed on the PBC Natural Areas. Jonathan Dickinson State Park is a place locally where you can take your leashed dog on the trails.

Is fishing allowed here? Catch and release of course

Google made a mistake. The address given refers to the Loxahatchee River Battlefield Park - a part of Riverbend Park. The Loxahatchee Slough Natural Area is located on FL SR 710 (The Bee Line Highway).
