Was looking forward to trying this restaurant and stood at the counter waiting to be seated for 20 minutes. Finally decided to find my own seat since there was a few other people already seated and eating. The red head, who I’m assuming is the hostess came over and said we can’t sit there, we are only seating on one corner of the restaurant. Okay so she takes three of us to a table big enough for two. We asked if we could have a bigger table and she threw a big attitude. I guess so! She seated us and was very rude. Then she goes to the back and tells everyone that we decided to find our own seat and she hates that. Maybe do your job as a hostess and be available when a guest comes in. So we place our order with the waitress who was fine and the red head brings out a printed sign and hangs it in front of the desk that says “wait for hostess to seat you!” What a slap in the face. Maybe get a new job where you can move a little quicker and pay attention for customers coming in. Same thing happened with the guy who came in after we did. Stood there for 15 minutes and I told the waitress he was waiting to be seated. Be sure to say hello to Red when you visit Maria’s. Tell her to pick up the pace and people would be glad to be seated by her. 🤣
