Great, courteous staff. Loved the piano player and dancing with residents.

My grandpa died from covid 3 1/2 weeks after they chose to host an eater egg hunt indoors with at least 100 people without masks. There were many vulnerable residents that came down with covid following this event. They have no regard for the people they are responsible for. Preceding the covid, there was general lack of care. The manager and head nurse are the most ineffective and do not care about your family members, which is obvious since they can’t be bothered to reach out when someone under their care passes away. Also if you actually read the positive reviews- you’ll see a theme in that a vast majority are from people who work there or visit but don’t actually have a family member living at The Knolls. Every time they get a negative review they probably ask their staff to make a positive one.

My special friend is at the Knolls and has very good care. I enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and all the kind help, many activities and good food. Thanks.

Only retirement community. Resort lifestyle.
As this is our residents’ home, we welcome visitors and will always work with our family and friends to visit loved ones at a time that works best for them.
You may schedule a tour by calling us at (402) 264-7864. During this visit we will talk to you about your individual circumstances and how we can best serve your needs.
Our base rate in assisted living and memory care includes 3 meals a day, housekeeping, laundry service, an emergency safety alarm system, wellness checks, transportation to community programs and all of our in-house activities.
The cost to live at The Knolls Retirement Community is based on each resident’s individualized plan. Our affordability calculator on our website can help you see your current monthly expenses. This may be helpful to consider when planning your senior living expenses.
We serve three meals a day and our chefs serve residents restaurant style. In addition to the delicious entrees featured at each meal, if a resident is unable to join us for dinner, we are able to deliver food to their room.
At The Knolls Retirement Community we love our pets as much as you do! We understand that your pet is just as much a part of your family as anyone else. That is why at all of our communities we welcome your furry or feathered family members and even the ones that swim (as long as they can do so in 50 gallons of water or less). So whether you talk, purr, bark, or just swim around all day, you’re welcome at our Communities!
While the age of our residents varies, the average resident is in their mid-80’s.
Absolutely! We are always looking for new events and activities that engage our residents.
The Knolls Retirement Community utilizes LifeLoop to monitor and support our resident’s activities and participation in our various programs. Learn more about LifeLoop and sign up today for access.
We are resident-focused. Our team is built around each resident’s specific needs, not on a set time predicted to meet their needs. At The Knolls Retirement Community we offer personalized care for each resident, ensuring that everyone is treated with respect, kindness and comprehensive care.
While residents may keep their current physicians, we can also help them find physicians closer to the community. We have regular visits to our communities from some doctors, but there is no obligation to use them. We offer transportation for our residents who need a ride to a doctor’s appointment, for an additional fee.
Before move-in, our team of nurses will assess your current health and review your medical history to determine the best care for you. We will also discuss your own preferences, including your day to day routines, to develop the best plan for you.
Our activities and programs are specifically designed to engage our residents in five areas of wellness. We focus on physical, social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual wellness.
The Knolls Retirement Community offers Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. If you aren’t sure what type of care you need, please try our Care Questionnaire on our website or contact us today.
