Breathtaking. (But, there is scaffolding surrounding the shrine right now, so it isn't the best time to visit.)

Looks really cool but the hours are awful and it seems such a waste to not be able to see it at all after hours. Completely hard blocked off, not just entry into the building itself but even near it. Not visible from it's gate hardly at all. Just a huge bummer honestly

This was inspired by a similar design in Eureka Spring, AR, Thorncrown Chapel. I find it similar to Marjorie Powell Allen Chapel found in Powell Gardens in MO as well. Very beautiful. Most walking paths are paved. Parking isn’t that big. From a tourist’s perspective, I would estimate between 30 mins to an hour. You can see it off I-80, but it’s a better view up close. Free parking & admission, you just have put up with dirt roads to get here 👍

Striking, meaningful, peaceful. Worth the effort.

After the gate is closed you can't get close enough to see the building.
Yes.
Yes, the road is open. Was there 10/4/18... beautiful and worth the stop.
Yes.
There wasn't one yet. However there might be one closer to Christmas
I don't believe so. Check their website.
They were opened till five today I would call in advance
I hope so as I always take pictures. It is breath taking. Definitely worth a stop. I've never seen anything other than asking not to use cell phone inside actual church. Great place.
Not truly hiking and definitely not biking around the church. There are stations of the Cross cross and a path around the church but it's more a short walk than a hike.
