I got my .military I'd renewed at the Naval Reserve Center in Wilmington. I do not know if the Coast Guard Station on Oak Island does renewals.

No, Nearest CG Exchange is at USCG Base Fort Macon, NC and its really Small.

Hello. We have a 21' boat that we plan to use along the ICW from Wilmington to NMB and Bald Head. Will a handheld VHF with a 5 mile range be adequate to keep us within hailing distance of the USCG on channel 16?
