Very good; could be amazing with very little effort. I love the idea behind the restaurant and I think it could become a fine dining place very easily. The service was excellent, they serve delicious and generous drinks, and they’re very reasonably priced. But the waiter could have either warned me about the level of spice in the bouillabaisse or it should have been marked in the menu as spicy. Also, we noticed the kitchen doesn’t time the dishes well, so they sit in the window and arrive lukewarm at the table, which I dislike especially with red meat. Basically, nothing arrived warm enough tonight; and it’s too bad because I can tell they try very hard. In addition, all food could use more seasoning, especially salt. And tone down on pepper; it doesn’t have to be on everything, including the crouton bread pieces in the appetizers. Lastly, they don’t serve espresso, which to me is disappointing because I like a small shot after a heavier meal. They can’t aspire to be a fine dining place without serving European style coffees. But it is by far the best restaurant in Knoxville I’ve eaten so far, with excellent service (they didn’t make me pay for the mean dish because the bouillabaisse arrived spicy), and I do want to go back for more sometime.

If you're trying to impress clients, friends, or love interests, make sure you stop here. The food, layout, and service are top notch. Also, next door is an extension of the restaurant, a bar simply named Drink. If your thing is a smooth jazz lounge with a 20 foot wall bar stocked with high quality selections, then you're in for a treat. Musicians and libation enthusiasts alike have something to appreciate here. Personally, I have never had a better Old Fashioned than the one Jericho made for me. Do yourself a favor, come here. You deserve it.

Great atmosphere. Excellent service in the dining room. Good food but limited menu. Bar service is good but the bar is under staffed. If a regular you will get prime service at the bar. No offense to the bar staff...they make excellent drinks, just think some restaurants staff the bar to maximize tips and pay but some need a full time dining room bar tender and Bistro is one of those. See Lake Side Taraven for perfect example of a bar with a busy dinning room with a specific bar tender for that.

Bistro By The Tracks has the best signature desserts, made from scratch on the planet. Their famous spice cake , made with cola, candied orange and house made whip cream was nice

I swung by Bistro by the Tracks tonight (it's the following Monday), and confirmed that they were open last Tuesday as usual. Perhaps you were looking at a website for a different Bistro in Knoxville, the one downtown by the Bijou. At any rate the manager for Bistro by the Tracks says their website doesn't say open or closed. The dinner open is at 5pm Mon.-Sun., and there is no specific close time.
