I’m a white Catholic man and I was in Southport taking care of my best friend after cardiac surgery. I woke up one morning and looked up churches in the area. I came across this church and the Holy Spirit spoke within my heart and led me there. I was greeted with Christian fellowship and was even asked to share from my pew. It was a special congregation and full of acceptance. At mass today I thought of this church and how wonderful they made me feel in such a trying time. I will return. I have to say this. I slipped in a bit late. Took a seat in a Pew near the back. NO ONE looked at me, no one spoke to me ! I was not greeted at all, nor was I asked to return. I'm Baptist and I have never been treated so unwelcomed.
