For a historic tavern that attracts a lot of tourists, Warren Tavern has some good deals and a good variety of basic pub foods. We came in for their weekday happy hour $1 oysters and got 3 dozen oysters, city square burger, and some clam chowder. The presentation of the oysters wasn’t fancy, but their quality was as good as any other oysters you can get around the city. Both the chowder and the burger were very basic, and I liked the creaminess of the chowder. Service was superb, and they had a good amount of seatings available both indoor and outdoors. However, since they usually get crowded during dinner times, I would recommend making a reservation in advance or coming in during their happy hours on weekdays.

Popped in on a Monday to see the historic place and have a drink/snack. It was 25% full at 4 and 75% full by 5. The beer was cold. The onion soup was delicious. The bartender was very friendly and welcoming. No oyster shooters on the menu, but a server brought a group everything they needed to make their own!

Clam chowder was delicious and enjoyed the Caribbean chicken sandwich, especially with the side of truffle fries, as recommended by our server. Fun little joint and super close to Bunker Hill, where we had just finished walking the Freedom Trail 😊
