A plus professional experiences!

The overall experience was terrific as Dr. Johnson initially explained the treatment plan and every step of the process. The staff was friendly and caring. My son's braces were removed at the beginning of the year, and Dr. Johnson continued with several ortho checks to ensure my son was using his retainer, and his smile remained picture perfect. Before braces, my son didn't like to smile much; that is no longer the case as his teeth are beautiful! I highly recommend Dr. Johnson.

Very disappointed by the customer service, considering how much I paid for the treatment. Kinda regret for signing up here.

Overall, my experience at Johnson and Jolley could not have been better. The whole team is extremely professional, friendly, and accommodating. Dr. Johnson has a tremendous enthusiasm and his wealth of experience is apparent. The outcome of my treatment (which included surgery) was better than I could have hoped for. Bottom line: Dr. Johnson is a great orthodontist and, in my case, he and his team thoroughly earned this five-star review.

Yes. Once treatment begins, we will explain our complete instructions and provide you with a comprehensive list of foods to avoid. Can I still play sports or play my instrument while wearing braces?

Alameda Orthodontics | Sep 13, 2020
Alameda Orthodontics | Sep 13, 2020

Yes! We recommend that patients wear mouthguards while playing sports. Musicians will likely experience an adjustment period until they are comfortable playing while wearing braces.

Does wearing braces hurt?

Alameda Orthodontics | Sep 13, 2020
Alameda Orthodontics | Sep 13, 2020

Generally, braces do not "hurt." After certain appointments, your teeth may be sore for a few days. In these situations, over-the-counter pain medications, such as Advil or Tylenol, will ease the discomfort. However, after most visits, patients do not feel any soreness at all! We often remind our patients, “It does not have to hurt to work!”

Can I drop my child off for an appointment?

Alameda Orthodontics | Sep 13, 2020

How much for the braces

slicky Snake | Sep 14, 2019
Alameda Orthodontics | Sep 14, 2019

That is a very complicated question and based on lots of factors most important of which is how complicated and severe the problem is. The range starts about $1,200 for simple child problems and climbs all the way to over $7,000 for complex adult problems. The best way to find out what the cost is for you or your child is come in for a complimentary consultation.

Would you be willing to look over our son's digital model and give a second opinion? Because there is a lot of work that needs to be done (lower jaw front etc.) we thought it would be good to get a second opinion.

Amelia Rudolph | Sep 14, 2018
Alameda Orthodontics | Sep 14, 2019

We would be happy to give a 2nd opinion and there is no cost. However, the decision about treatment is based on more than a just digital model. Unerupted teeth, facial structure and growth play a very important factor. I recommend making an appointment for a complimentary consultation.
