I'm in WC quite a bit on business and have booked a number of lodging there, but I only stay at Diablo Mountain Inn now because they have everything I need. They beat out hotels that are twice the price but aren't half as nice. I've seen quite a few of their rooms now and they're all quiet and clean with no oddly placed mirrors, unusual smells or creepy stains anywhere. There's nothing worse than checking in to a place at midnight after having worked 12 hours to find a rust-colored, rabbit-shaped patch on the carpet. I also appreciate that the DMI rooms have: a refrigerator, a microwave, and a climate control that can be set to put out the perfect amount of white noise that I need to get to sleep. The staff go out of their way to see that you can check in and out without a hassle. They'll email or text straight away so you'll have a contact for any issue, but I've never had to use it.

Service here was great! Rooms have been newly renovated, so nice. Definitely would stay again. Really good on the price.

Let's be clear -- it's a 5-star rating for a budget motel. That said, it's relatively cute, easy to get to from the freeway, and has a number of walkable businesses nearby. My room was clean, the AC worked great, and the water pressure in the shower was *amazing*. More importantly, the owner contacted me when I was arriving late to check in -- just to let me know what to do if I was going to be later than the office hours. Nice! And I left a bluetooth speaker in my room, which they kindly contacted me about. That's great service!
