Meat counter takes forever to set up in mornings. Usually lots of old discounted meat. Can't get seafood until noon most days. Deli staff intentionally ignore waiting customers constantly. Donuts and pastries are noticeably better at other Safeways (Ygnacio, Clayton...) This store banks on their location being in downtown and ignores the services they're supposed to supply. I would fault the overall management. Update: Instead of customer service contacting me, I wish management would manage the employees and not the customers.

Significantly more expensive than wholefoods. $4 lb more for salmon that has coloring added. Beef cuts with tendons running straight through the middle. thin cut ribeyes to make them look like a deal before you realize the thickness. tons of weird stew cuts nobody has ever bought. $10 packs of 8 slices of american cheese. $8 for a ham and american cheese sandwich. tri tip with the biggest fat caps youve ever seen hidden underneath. Fruit that is of lower quality and not as fresh. compare blueberries and strawberries under driscols at both locations and youll see what i mean. It goes on and on. the only bread that is even bread is semifreddies and theyre always out. the rest is the same cheap factory bread with tons of sugar to be produced fast and cheap. everything else is so expensive. safeway has run its course. too expensive. poor quality. psychologically designed to make you pay more for bad health. Oh, and they keep their closeout food in the bathroom hallway next to the most putrid smelling bathroom youve ever been forced to look at food next to. Just an extra slant to anyone needing bargain food.

Nice little quiet store with limited stock. What caused this review was the raspy voice was telling customers that the cost on bags was due to covid pandemic and causing misleading vibes around the store. Political issues and indifference with current evens is one thing but pushing your beliefs in positions of knowledge and young you position to falsify narratives is incredibly bad form.

Should I give this store five stars or one? I guess it depends on the time of day I shop here. For those of us who frequent this location, the people who work the check out are generally fabulous people. A few have really stood out over the years like Dora and Camilla, but management seems to be a huge problem and their refusal to hire proper support staff ruins the experience. They are almost always short on baggers and the parking lot is typically in disarray. Also, the lines are usually very long and the workers are frustrated with short staffing. For big shopping days I typically go to other stores and if you come here after dark, the vibe is not good at all. The clientele changes after dark and it’s not as comfortable as during the day. I’ve been shopping here 25 years and keep hoping it will improve. So far, it hasn’t.

Yes.
Corporate needs to decide and commit customer satisfaction and staff accordingly!
Same as everywhere else lol
There was a sign over it when I was there last but it was slightly torn and it appeared the machine was on. I don't think your supposed to right now because of covid.
There is a Phsrmacy. The store is 24/7 I'd recommend calling the store to get the Phwrmacy hours
I never patronize the deli.
