Every staff member I've encountered has been fantastic in the 5 years I've been coming here.

Always a great experience. I donate double red, and they are ready when you arrive for your appointment time and have always been accommodating throughout the process.

I donated blood at this location today. I’ll start by saying both the gentleman that worked at the front desk and the gentleman that took my blood were very nice and professional. However, the nurses were extremely unprofessional and nearly didn’t allow me to donate blood because they weren’t sure if my blood would be acceptable (but could not give me an answer as to why it would not be.) I had completed the online questionnaire prior and was given the green light to donate. I don’t have any medical conditions that would prevent me from donating. Well these nurses were rude and made me feel like a burden for trying to donate. One nurse asked another nurse, who then had to call a doctor(!!!) to see if I could donate my blood. Doctor immediately said yes. One of the nurse reluctantly said “well it’s up to you I guess.” It was an hour before I was actually getting my blood taken, and I had scheduled my appointment. I understand that the staff is likely overworked and understaffed but there is never an excuse to discourage someone with viable blood from trying to save lives by donating. I will not be going back to this blood bank, and sincerely hope that the nurses I saw today do not speak to or treat anyone else the way that I was spoken to and treated today because they would likely be discouraging (much needed) donors from saving lives.

Hi Leslie, all donations made through Memorial Blood Centers are voluntary.
You have to be at least 16 and there are certain height and weight requirements for anyone under 18

O negative blood is the universal blood type. Meaning that anybody can receive O negative blood. So it's not rare to have O negative blood, but it is in high demand as it can be transfused into patients no matter what blood type they are.
Set up an account on MBC.org and link it to your donor ID, there's a section where you can track your points.
