We( James V Brown Library ) have loved having our monthly opportunities to connect with our YWCA women. They are such a diverse group of bright, creative and powerful women. Thank you to Dawn Linn -our brilliant leader at the YWCA!!

This place is great don't stress over having to leave in a month. If your genuinely need a place to stay and clear your head you can come here. Don't expect much help finding a place to live but if you put in the work you can get a place to stay.

The women and children in the shelter don't pay for clothing they get from the shop. So yes, when you donate it works 2 ways. You are directly helping the women in need AND any clothing that sold at the shop, the profit helps support the shelter and it's services.

What is the staff priority to assist residents here?

Ashley Aliaga | Sep 14, 2017
RJ Randall | Sep 14, 2017

The first priorty is the safety of the women and children that come to the Y for services. The staff works with available community services in devising individual planning to help its clientele to become more independent. Every case is different and requires personal motivation on the part of the client. If you suspect any abuse you can report it to the proper authority.
