I'm not claustrophobic and have gotten through an MRI once before without a problem. This time the MRI tech left during my scan! I was not given updates over the speaker, she never told me how long I would be in the machine, and did not give me headphones for music. On top of that they make you wear a medical mask going into the machine, in a room by yourself, which is absurd. About 10 minutes passed without any indication I was being watched, and panic started to creep in. I waited several silent moments from the machine and finally had to start ringing the buzzer. After a minute the tech asked if I was ok over the speaker. She couldn't hear my responses and had to stop the test.. I just chose to end it there and go back to the company I had my first MRI with. Not a good experience.

They gave me the initial wrong in check up time by 30 minutes. Then. Too add insult to injury. My Mri was 75 minutes late. Poor planning...

I recently had my first MRI here. The MRI Technologist here was absolutely amazing. Very friendly, personable, and accommodating. He made sure I was comfortable and explained every step of the process well. After each portion of the test he would check in to make sure I was doing OK, tell me how long the next portion would be, and what noises the MRI machine would be making. Regarding Open MRI in general, they did take about 2 weeks from the referral to get a pre-approval from my insurance. It's not necessary with my plan, but still a good idea with an expensive test, as my insurance loves to deny things at first and force you to dispute their decision. The claim was approved no problem as a result. Once they called me they were able to schedule me for the following day which was great.
