So I just want to say not all what I expected from the number 1 solar Co. Out there. Started off great with Adrian our solar expert. He got me a great design, got my roof able to have solar, and started the coordination process. Then construction team after about a month came through quickly with the complete install. Then the building inspection came 2 weeks later. Then the electrical inspection came 2 weeks after that. Now nothing. So far from the knock on the door with Adrian, to a paperwork mishap with Tiara Monterio, has been 6 months, and no solar. The problem with sun run is they don't have enough people with experience managing projects, then filling out the proper forms/paper work for inter connections with utility Co.s, and then to communicate to the customer that have been dropping the ball the last 3 months with all the paperwork. Don't get solar from them. Don't waste your time trying to communicate ever. Call after Call it never gets finished or fixed. I wish I just never did the job, in the first place.

I wish I could give the rating less than one, the company is trying to complete my solar installation for 7 months now, still the solar is not up and running, Poor inter team communication, after the panels were installed it has become very hard to get in touch with my sales people who recommended me Vivint solar, Trust the company who promises to deliver the things on time, I would not recommened this company to anyone

7 Months after they installed the solar panels on my home. My service has still not been turned on. When I call them half of the time, the customer service folks put me on hold afor 30 minutes and miraculously the line disconnects. My project coordinator emailed me a month ago to tell me they are uploading my paperwork to National Grid to get my service turned on. I called National Grid 3 weeks later and it has not been done. DO NOT USE THESE FOLKS. Terrible service

Hi Joey, thanks for reaching out. This is a great question! The border that we install in front of the panels is for cosmetic purposes only. We only supply this for the front of the panels. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you!
You have a few options once your contract is up. If you are a Solar PPA or Solar Lease customer, you can renew your contract for an additional five years, purchase the solar system for fair market value, or request that the system be removed (at no additional cost). If you are a Solar Loan or Solar Purchase customer, your contract with Vivint Solar ends when the system is installed and operational.
Solar PPA customers pay for all of the energy a system produces, regardless of their individual usage. Solar Lease customers pay a fixed payment based on the expected annual output of the solar energy system.
Not necessarily. At Vivint Solar, we install the solar panels at little to no upfront cost, and our Solar PPA customers typically buy electricity from us at a lower rate (see our website for details) than their utilities. We also sell systems at competitive prices, and have relationships that can help you finance the purchase.
Our warranty guarantees our work will be free from material defects for 10 years, the system's solar panels carry a 25-year linear performance warranty, and inverters carry minimum 10-year manufacturers' warranties.
No. Our solar panels are not attached directly to your roof, but rather to a racking system that has been wind, water, and fire tested to ensure no leaks or damage will occur. Additionally, shingles on your roof will often last longer under installed panels because they are less exposed to UV light.
Yes, slightly. Due to sun exposure, weather and other environmental factors, there’s a potential degradation rate of 2.5% the first year the panels are on your roof, and 0.7% per year during the rest of the 20 year term. Most of our panels degrade at a rate lower than this, but we guarantee that they won’t degrade more than the above amount.
