Awful experience, and this isn't real camping.

Love the short walk to National seashore

Loved my stay. I especially liked being able to make the easy walk to Head Of The Meadow Beach, and the walking trail. My only wish would be that they allow motorcycles, but I get why they choose not to. Still, a really peacefully spot nestled in the pines and dunes. I would definitely stay again.

Excellent campgrounds. Quiet and friendly! Weather was great as well as all the beaches. Would highly recommend and great for families.

They do not allow any pets at any time. The FAQ on their website has a fair and thorough explanation if you need more info.
Because we are surrounded by the Cape Cod National Seashore Park and located in a pine forest with dry pine needles covering the ground, campfires are NOT allowed WITHIN the campground. Guests are welcome to bring their own grills & stoves for cooking. Charcoal grills are allowed as long as they have a solid bottom without holes and the grill has study legs that keeps the grill at least 6" up off of the ground. Gas and propane grills & stoves are also allowed, but there is no burning of wood or pine needles allowed at the campsites. We have a nice fireplace in our recreational hall along with ping pong tables, pool tables and a number of picnic tables. FIRES ARE ALLOWED ON THE BEACH in the evenings (as long as you have a beach fire permit). The beach is less than a 10 minute walk. Permits can be reserved from the Town of Truro through their website or at the fire department, depending on the time of the season, and from the National Park Provincelands Visitor's Center.
Yes, even though we are well wooded, we still have plenty of campsites that can also accommodate tent trailers, small travel trailers, camper vans and other small RVs. However, keep in mind that because we are tenting oriented the campsites do not have electric, water or sewer connections. We have conveniently located restroom facilities throughout the campground with drinking water spigots and have a dump station near the camp entrance. We have electrical outlets in the restrooms and shower facilities for hair dryers and razors, and we have USB charging stations and outlets in our recreation hall and adult reading room for guests to charge their personal electronics items, such as, cell phones, laptops and tablets.
No dogs. Try Adventure Bound camping in North Truro if you want to bring your dog
Yes, the campground is fully open now through September 27th, 2020. Currently there are still some campsites available for reservations throughout the entire season, but many dates in July and August are quickly filling up.
What you should be sure to experience, are the outside showers on the end of each bathroom building. On a hot day, the cold water feels soo good on the skin! Ms. Toni
