I wasn't in there a month, an I noticed they have favorites, like this one girl Antoinette. They allowed to walk around the house and just talk to and treat people any way, they even talk to her about other people's business in there. They only help who they want to and give 2nd chances to who they want to. This place made me get even more depressed and drink more. Mrs. Keisha, was especially kind, Mrs. Cynthia was kind, and there are like two other staff who actually really cared.

It kinda depends on a case by case...I know someone who was there for several+ months. If you are following the rules and working towards positive change etc...(securing an income and a place to live)you will keep getting extensions.
Going there would be your best bet...it's easier to say no via a phone call..but I know someone who was there for a good while. Still, people come and go so stay on top of it. Also, depending on your situation there are other places in Greensboro, Winston Salem, etc. There are also more opportunities for people with substance abuse so you might want to check into that(like marry House) and other half way house options. Salvation army in high point is probably still under construction. ***If you are male, this is for females only. No exceptions at all. Males are barely allowed on the property and for good reason.
It's a women's only shelter....
It's a women's shelter but they have mens shelter on centennial it's called open door ministries if he would like to try that out all he has to do is call them and ask them if they have any beds available. They give away 3 meals a day Monday- Saturday and 2 meals on Sunday in the community dining area downstairs. They can help him with housing looking for a job and anything else that he needs help with. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
The shelter is just for women but food pantry anyone, open doors has a shelter for men

Leslie's House accept only adult women without Children. The Salvation Army in High Point accepts both. Families.
The Leslie's house is a shelter for women not men sorry we can not help him but the salvation army can
