Started off good kept bringing junk here but today they tell me go to darn LandFill! Gross! Why not dump few in containers and come back????!!! Stokes county aint like that...Lost my business! Good afternoon as a business women owned I see a lot things that get my attention to what needs to be fixed. First of all the people at the window are not even polite they stare at you and you have to start the conversation after that price is high compraring it to stokes county landfill also they tell you go to the actual landfill gross !! I can drop some items in yalls containers then come back again easy enough.!! Also the men outside staring watching and laughing very unprofessional. Taking my business to Stokes county waste management you can take as much as you want there so friendly and nice.

Hello! If you are a Forsyth County resident, you may take your old microwave oven to 3RC EnviroStation, our household hazardous and electronic waste site. See location and hours online and below. https://cityofws.org/3rc Here's the full list of things they will take free-of-charge, plus what they will not. https://www.cityofws.org/1160/Accepted-Not-Accepted-Items There is also a brochure on the website that you can print. 3RC EnviroStation 1401 S Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive Winston-Salem, NC 27101 Open: Wednesday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Phone: 336-784-4300 Here's a list of appliances accepted at Hanes Mill Rd. as "White Goods" free-of-charge. https://www.cityofws.org/1281/White-Goods-Scrap-Tires-Other-Wastes Microwaves are on the NO list there, but fortunately 3RC is an option! Thank you for helping us protect the environment! ~WSFC Utilities
I'm not sure but I wouldn't see why not.
If you have full cans of paint, please consider donating to Habitat ReStore. Call 336-893-8495 before delivering the paint. If you are a Forsyth County resident, you can take latex or oil-based paint to 3RC: https://www.cityofws.org/1158/3RC-EnviroStation---Household-Hazardous- DO NOT place any liquid paint in your trash. It may leak onto city streets & inside collection vehicles while being compacted. Most important: DO NOT dump paint on the ground, down any home or business drain OR in a storm drain where it can contaminate creeks and streams. EMPTY & dry paint cans (latex or oil-based) may be thrown in the trash. Cans containing latex or oil paint that is completely SOLID may be thrown in the trash. To ensure this, USE A DRYING AGENT: Mix in cat litter, sawdust, plaster of paris or a commercial waste paint hardener found at home improvement stores. This works best for paint cans that are a quarter full or less. Wait a couple of days for the paint to dry. ~WSFC Utilities
