Gave me the run around about coming to pickup a stray dog I found and a few days after last call, they finally called and say since I've had him for so long, he's legally mine and want me to surrender him if they are to pick him up, which typically comes with a fee. I tried to explain to the officer I had already had him from a week before I called because I didn't know that I was supposed to call AC first and was instructed, by the officer I spoke to, to hold him for another 7-10 days even though I stated to the first AC officer that he was living in a crate in my backyard, I couldn't afford to care for him and he couldn't be inside due to not being housetrained, chases cats and marks and that I really needed them to come get him. Ridiculous. I feel like I got conned just trying to be a good person and help a dog in need. No wonder animals are frequently dumped in Spartanburg County. Nowhere to take them and AC trying to make people just trying to be good samaritans pay fees when they are the ones not coming to get strays people call in. BTW, you can't take them to Greenville Country Animal Care yourself. I tried that since I haven't gotten any calls from AC a few days after my last call and wasted my gas. They will only take them if AC brings them.

Wow. Truly bad. Truly, zero care.

They have always answered the phone and she directs me to the officer in my area. He calls me back. Our neighbor up the street just will not keep all of his dogs leashed or in his fence and they are running the roads and eating all of our cats' food up and down the street, chasing cars and motorcyles, and the female just had another litter of puppies and is starving. I don't blame the animals, but the owner knows better. People have to remember this agency only has 4 officers for ALL the districts in Spartanburg County. That is just not enough to handle all the complaints. They came and picked up feral kittens for me, had them fixed and tagged and dropped back off. At least they are attempting to control the feral cat population in Spartanburg County. Wish the county or state would give them more money to hire more officers and equipment. The whole Spartanburg county is being overrun by loose dogs and feral cats. We all need to work together.

Used to work there. Found out after I started that Jamie Nelson admitted to me he jumped my fence with NO Trespassing Signs and searched my property... How many others has he done this to that don’t know about it. He wanted to see what animals I had on my property but wouldn’t come when I was home and ask to see them. Sorry official for the county....

No. I didn't get any help at all. It's everyday. And people put their unwanted pregnant cats and dogs out here too
Using it to keep his still going?
My neighbor's dogs are driving me crazy. I haven't slept well in months.. I want them out before I do something stupid out of anger but ive bern told animal control won't do anything
Did you ever get a solution to this because I have the same problem.
Code enforcement.
You don't.
Get gun.
Which is better? Suffering under poor care for life, or being put down? Think it over and then decide.
The owner.
Buy a trap.
Is it still there.
Take a bite and see if it kills .
Your more than welcome to come and cut it yourself !!
