Don't think there are any historic buildings here, but this is the former station of Six Rivers National Forest Engine 33, a 2002 model International 4800 530 Power 4x4 completed 5 Dec. 2001. It's a model 62 C wildland fire engine with a Boise Mobile Equipment body and a pump test from 9-2002. It can be seen in YouTube videos titled "Big Foot Parade Willow Creek 2013" at 5 min. 18 seconds in and "Willow creek Bigfoot parade" (posted by Bigfoot Country) at 4 min. 44 seconds in. The engine is now operated by Bear Valley-Indian Valley Fire Department as E-91. They apparently got it from Outback Fire Apparatus in Utah and found Forest Service green hidden behind the weatherstrip on the doors.

Is there a picnic area on the south side of Hwy 299 a little ways west of Willow Creek? If so, what's the name of it?

East Fork Campground has a little picnic area right when you first pull in.
