If this trail did not connect to the much nicer Lebanon Valley Rail Trail, I doubt that I would ever ride it again. While the trail may be fine for walking it is a disappointing biking experience. While the scenery is pleasant the trail surface is at best fair. As the trail has needed repairs, the stone used to do the repairs is much larger than the original trail surface. Also there are several bridges with very rough edges. Again, not a problem for walkers but a very uncomfortable ride. Then there's the PA 743 road crossing, the road was resurfaced but the trail wasn't improved. There are at least two other road crossings that have very limited visibility, either because of a bend in the road or because of brush growing beside the trail.

Mostly a nice trail. It's a packed gravel surface and the gravel is more tightly packed in some places than others.

This is an awesome trail to walk especially for beginners. It's a total of 5 miles one way so it is adaptable for any fitness level. It is nice and wide and flat with nice scenery of farmland and corn fields. Because it borders the Conewago creek frequently you get to see a great waterfall about a mile in. The only negative thing that I have to say is that there are no restroom facilities but other than that I am definitely going back again with my mountain bike.

This trail is smooth, and very easy to run, but it is not well lit. Still great for running, super easy bike rides, and leisurely walks. Its even nice with strollers and access to Old Mill Park is quite lovely!
