Nice open areas it sit and a great place to view the sunset! Plenty of public bathrooms. 4 stars because the park officer was a bit over the top about telling us to leave by dark.

Nice spot for meditation and contemplation. Come here after they stop charging per car after labor day or before April 15 Update: went to watch the Model aircraft at the field, very nice

The $10 covers Croton Falls too if you go on the same day.
It's a beach on the Hudson River. Be prepared to walk, the parking is a ways from the beach.
Deer, Racoons, Squirrel's,etc
Most of the roads in the park are pavement but there are also gravel areas.
Negative campsites for RVs with hookup have electricity though
This is not a lake in any way as another person has Said this is the Hudson river and yes there is a swimming beach that requires tickets. Personally I wouldn't swim that water. It's definitely not the what I'd consider clean and I've seen the run off from the land fill that is the hill in the middle of the park. That being said there is in relative shirt distance other park and watershed property that you can swim +watershed at your own risk no lifeguard)
I don't things so because nobody is going to be there for you it's to early you need a ticket to enter
I don't know the picnic table to grill ratio but I know there are several scattered about the park.
Sure you can, it's a Westchester County Park. There's a great Campground there as well.
There's a whole stretch of beach that runs along the river, most the rest i was at had a wall. I would assume you'd have to come in at the beach but i don't know for sure
I didn't remember seeing a basketball court there. But the park is so big, I might not see it all.
Yes. There is a campsite where you can park your RV or pitch a tent. It is a popular spot so make your plans in advance.
You do not need two permits only with one friend
I wasn't there, but Probably you can take your own grill. I'm watching this place from boat, and it's really looks nice family place....
There is a lovely campground in the park past the train station. It's around $40. per night with full hookups.
Yes
Yes but most sites have full hookup. Note the park is being renovated end of October every thing changes....
There is a Shoprite less than five minutes away in Croton. They probably have some of the designer wood available.
Open to all, enjoy your day there
No because in weekends only the residents can go in the park
Yes you can use the beach if you are not a Westchester resident but sometimes they don't allow.
You can camp but only with tent. I know because I just finished camping for 2 days.
I think there is until 4pm (as we heard from a friend). We went around 6:30pm and there was no fee.
Yes
You have to show your license that has the address of Westchester County and pay 10 parking dollars
Yes
Yes. I think it's $10 or 15. But right now I think the park is only open to Westchester county residents. There is also a seperate fee to get on the beach. About $5
Yes. The are select/specific winter rv sites
I don't think so, most parks close at dusk, so if you're there after dark you'll get in trouble. You may want to go online to Westchester Parks Dept and double check.
This a state park. Unaware of basketball court. Great for cookouts n private cookouts
The year 3029? Maybe in reference to the likelihood of the entire park being under water that far in the future.
Opens at 8. You dont have to reserve a table or grill
Pay to visit. Detailed rules posted there. Nothing very special.
There is a lot of great fishing in the Hudson but no tournaments that I know of. Check with the fishing guides at the Outdoor Store.
you can go swimming.
Walking distance then again you must get there early because it gets full quick
As best I know there are no reservations. First come first serve. But hopefully all nice and can share. If you want to use the large roofed area for a large group then you will need to make a reservation and pay well in advance, as these are usually reserved by many groups way in advance. Note that at that time there is a fee charged to enter the Croton Point Park.
No
Get off at Croton train station. Its approximately few miles to the left taxi will take you. And if asked, they will pick you up when asked. Croton on Hudson.grew up there. Look up Croton Point Park for beach area. Happy times. Enjoy!🙂👍
Go to Westchestergov.com and search for fishing permits
A cabin? Do you mean a trailer? Yes you have to contact Westchestergov.com
No
You can take a train to grand central, depending if it is express train or local, approx 1 hour. You can drive, which could take an hour or lots longer depending on your route and time of day. I recommend the train since its walking distance from the park, or drive to station and pay to park. Use cabs or subway to get around NYC if you take the train.
Entrance to the park is free, parking is 10 dollars
As you enter the park the office is on the right
Just dont get caught
Westchester you have to enter the water right from the road, in front of the park
