My initial interaction with the company was great. I got a price and a contract and scheduled my date. I then confirmed that delivery date and information about 2 months prior to my event. The issue began when I was called the Monday of the event (on Saturday) and was told the tent couldn’t be delivered Friday as agreed because they had too many other tents to put up. I said I would talk with the homeowner of the location but during that conversation was hung up on. When I called back I was greeted with attitude and a condescending conversation about how they had 26 tents to put up. I again said I would work with the homeowner. Called back later to confirm with that the homeowner of my event had agreed to allow the tent up and would be available on Thursday anytime after 1 pm. Wednesday at 8 am they show up with the tent. Homeowners aren’t even home. I call them and get an attitude saying it says Wednesday on their paper when that date was never even discussed. Then I am told they will be there Thursday around 5 pm. I wait 3 hours and they show up at 8 pm. Annoying but fine I guess I’m happy they showed up at all at this point. They don’t set up any of the tables or chairs and just throw them under the tent. So we had to set all of that up as well at 10 pm because they showed up so late. No one asks for payment at that time. A week later no email no phone call - my card is charged for the remaining balance of the tent except it is now charged for more than the remainder. I’d say if you’re looking for an extreme amount of added stress and to be spoken down to before your wedding or event then choose this company, otherwise I wouldn’t recommend. Overall the tent was nice and the people putting it up were very nice but otherwise it was a horrible experience. UPDATE I just spoke to the owner of the company and he was wonderful and so apologetic for the situation.

My first time ever renting from this company and i would never ever rent or recommend this place. The owner is disrespectful and has poor customer service. I first started off giving my situation over the phone when a person whom worked there names Chris hanged up the phone on me. So i took upon myself to make a trip to the office and while explains the situation and speaking to Kenny he told me he would pass the messages onto the owner. When i arrived a women came out the office with an attitude stating she was listening to the conversation and when i asked what’s her name she started she doesn’t need to give me her name and when i asked Kenny is that his boss he said yes and he couldn’t give me her name. One thing i can say I’m new to Tauton and i realized there is a lot of racist people in the area and once i figure out the owner herself was racist and disrespectful i had to make sure i shared my experience i hope no one will ever book with them. They have terrible customer service, not reliable and terrible delivery service as well the owner her self is Obnoxious and clearly doesn’t lead by example so it makes sense why her employees were disrespectful as well

They’re average. I will say that their prices are some of the best in the area, but you get what you pay for. The communication was alright, I had originally set up my rental order with Kathleen, who was super communicative until close to my wedding where she didn’t respond at all and I had to reach out to another employee. Not sure why or what the situation was but that was frustrating. Everything was delivered and set up in a timely manner. They forgot one of my linens and delivered a dirty tent. The crew that set up/delivered was awesome and friendly and said they were super busy but that shouldn’t negate the quality of product their providing. One major issue was that they said they would pick up the rented things Monday the 20th and didn’t come until Friday the 24th. Luckily our venue was private family property but if you are not on private property I would highly suggest taking this into consideration before renting from them. Not amazing, not terrible, but got the job done.

9 months prior to my backyard wedding, I called Taunton rental and spoke with Kathleen, the “owner’s daughter.” I explained to her how many guests we were anticipating and she set me up a rental package with the tent, tables and chairs, dance floor, and linens. I thought she was so helpful, until she wasn’t. Fast forward to a few weeks prior to the most important day of our lives, I set up a meeting with her to finalize everything, she’s not there, no communication. Luckily someone else was, since they explained to me the tent she had chosen for us was not large enough for all of the tables and chairs we had with a dance floor. Due to her error I got to pay more for a second tent to be able to fit everything. The day came, everything was delivered. The guys that came to set up were all great, super helpful & friendly. The items delivered, not so great. The chairs were all dirty and needed to be cleaned before they could actually be used, the linens were stained, the tent duct taped. (Had I mentioned these were the items for the most important day of our lives?) The following day, since our event was held in at a rental property, I needed them to come and pick up everything before we left, as they had said they would. I called Kathleen to see if they would be coming soon, they weren’t. I explained to her how awful she had been to work with. Her response- “likewise” along with blaming me for her errors along the way. It was my fault “her guys were there all day.” They were actually there all day due to not having the right pieces for the tents and having to return to their home base at least 3 times. Moral of the story, if you’re hosting an important event, I would absolutely look elsewhere due to the customer service from Kathleen alone, which is a shame because the guys were great. I won’t be renting from here again, nor will anyone I know.
