Bought on Groupon and she would cancel my appointment everytime I had one scheduled because of her excuses then when I had an emergency come up where had to go to the ER with proof she called me a liar and charged me full price for the missed massage. Total double standard. Don't recommend, better massages in Winder with walk ins so you don't have to deal with this women's drama and paying for a full service never received. She takes your credit card number when booking then charges you later.

Candace does an awesome job relieving all of my stress/tension, & muscle aches. She adjusts her pressure based on what you want. I've already seen her 3 times. 5 out of 5 stars from me.

CONGRATS Candance, on your new business location! I was in there today for my usual wonderful massage, Candance is the best! I see a few reviews that I don't feel was justified, with all the things that has happened over the last 18 months or so, Covid lockdowns etc.. Things happen in life, and sometimes due to that there has been times she had to cancel. That happened to me also, I was set to have a massage and it didn't happen that day, I was a little disappointed, BUT if you have ever had a massage with Candance, you wouldn't let a cancellation stop you from booking another appointment with her. Her new place is great, better access to her business. And I have 3 more massages scheduled with her over the next 1 1/2 months, and looking forward to them!!!

after calling and trying to get an appointment for a week, I finally booked 60 min massage two months in advance with Candace, I prepared for my appointment and even got time off from work to attend the session as her hours are during the time that I am at work. The morning of my appointment (only 3 hrs before I attend my massage session) I heard in a text message from Candace that she has to cancel my appointment and reschedule me. She was very rude and unprofessional in her communication and did not bother to call or text me to apologize or even to reschedule me as she promised she will. She does not value her client's time and I highly discourage anybody from booking an appointment with her. if you value your time and your money and like to have a massage therapist who is professional and respectful, please look somewhere else.

Can massage help with tennis elbow pain?

BodiMechanic | Sep 12, 2020
BodiMechanic | Sep 12, 2020

One of the most commonly used #massage treatment strategies is deep transverse friction (DTF). Reducing hypertonicity is another important role that massage can play in treating epicondylitis better know as #tenniselbow. Applications that appear particularly effective are compressive warming strokes and broad sweeping cross-fiber strokes. As treatment progresses, deeper longitudinal stripping methods are very effective, and active engagement lengthening techniques appear to bring good results as well. #BodiMechanic #WinderGa #CandaceMoulder #elbow #massagetherapy

What is a Sport's Massage?

BodiMechanic | Sep 12, 2020
BodiMechanic | Sep 12, 2020

General Sports Massage is a full-body massage approach customized for clients involved in sports like football, tennis, and golf, or for clients looking to increase the ease, quality, and range of motion of their body movements. May also be used to prepare the body for physical activity. During this massage, specific attention is often targeted to areas requested by the client. Injury-Focused Sports Massage generally falls outside a full-body approach to target specific movement conditions that include plantar fascitis, low-back pain, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, and other common sports injuries. Pre- and Postevent Sports Massage is customized to prepare the athlete for immediate, high-intensity activity, or to help them recover.

What is Deep Tissue Massage?

BodiMechanic | Sep 12, 2020
BodiMechanic | Sep 12, 2020

#DeepTissueMassage: is a technique that utilizes deep-tissue/deep-muscle massage to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia. This technique requires advanced training and a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology. The muscles must be relaxed in order to most effectively perform deep-tissue massage; otherwise, tight surface muscles prevent the practitioner from reaching deeper musculature. It helps with chronic muscular pain and injury rehabilitation, and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendinitis.

I've never had a massage. Can you explain some massage etiquette to me?

BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019
BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019

1. ARRIVE EARLY: Therapist will need info from you, and you need time to disrobe. 15 minutes on first visit. 2. FOOD AND DRINK: Avoid eating an hour before your massage. Visit the restroom. 3. SILENCE YOUR PHONE 4. UNDRESS TO YOUR COMFORT LEVEL: You will have total privacy to get undressed. & will be strategically draped so only area being worked on will be exposed. 5. COMMUNICATE Pressure preferences, sensitivities areas of concern. It is not rude to tell your therapist. It's your custom session. 6. TIPPING IS APPROPRIATE: 15-20% gratuity is standard 7. SHOWER: Massage Therapists provide a close contact service. Squeeze in a shower before your appointment if possible. We really appreciate when clients are clean and dry.

Will practitioner be present when I disrobe?

BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019
BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019

The practitioner will leave the room while you undress, relax onto the table, and cover yourself with a clean sheet and/or blanket.

How will I feel after the massage or bodywork session?

BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019
BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019

Most people feel very relaxed. Some experience freedom from long-term aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. After an initial period of feeling slowed down, people often experience increased energy, heightened awareness, and greater productivity which can last for days. Hydration is strongly encouraged to move toxins quickly through and out of the body. You will be offered water at the end of the session.

Are there medical conditions that make massage inadvisable?

BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019
BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019

Yes. That's why it's imperative that, before you begin your session, the practitioner asks general health questions. It is very important that you inform the practitioner of any health problems or medications you are taking. If you are under a doctor's care, it is strongly advised that you receive a written recommendation for massage or bodywork prior to any session. Depending on the condition, approval from your doctor may be required.

What should I do after my massage?

BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019
BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019

Hydrate. Drink a lot of water to flush the toxins from your body to prevent soreness the following day. Epsom salt baths are nice or just take it easy if you can.

What should I do during the massage session?

BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019
BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019

Prior to the massage, feel free to ask the practitioner any questions about the technique or the upcoming session. During the massage, make yourself comfortable. The practitioner will either gently move you or tell you what is needed throughout the session (such as lifting your arm). Many people just close their eyes and completely relax, communicating if/when they need more or less pressure, another blanket, or anything else relevant to the session. If you have any questions regarding the session or about the particular technique you are receiving, feel free to ask. Some people prefer silence during session and others will be chatty. I will assume silence but will follow your direction if you prefer conversation.

What parts of my body will be massaged?

BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019
BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019

A typical full-body session will include work on your back, glutes, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck, and shoulders. Please note that you can customize your session for your preference.

Will I be covered during the session?

BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019
BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019

You will be properly draped at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. I am conservative in my draping and only the area being worked on will be exposed.

Do I have to be undressed for massage?

BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019
BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019

Most massage and bodywork techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, it is entirely up to you what you want to wear. You should undress to your level of comfort. You will be properly draped during the entire session. Please know any clothing worn during session will likely get massage cream on it.

Why is your 120 Minute/2-Hour Massage $130?

BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019
BodiMechanic | Sep 13, 2019

While I do quite a few 2 hour massages, it is physically very taxing to perform a 2 hour massage non-stop, as it is completely hands on for the entirety of the session. I am by nature a more deep pressure therapist and most clients receive optimal results from 60-90 minute sessions.
