We make the drive to this store to escape the lousy Ralph's near us when we have the time. Great layout, and they always seem to have what we need without paying a ton. Convenient parking and the self checkout is great, with a large space to put your stuff and a modern machine. The only downside is when you need help, the staff aren't great. I was literally told that the deli was closed at like 6pm. Then why are you here?

There was a gentleman that was obviously new and learning the job. He was not quite as enthusiastic to assist my friend and I with a simple function such as a bag. The previous woman ordered 8 sandwiches and when she was leaving she asked for a bag for her drinks. Not only did he open to bag he assisted her with putting her beverages in her bag. My friend and I were next in line. It took someone to go to the cooler where the drinks were located before he recognized what I wanted. I kept saying orange juice and he kept asking me what size. There is only one size of orange juice at subway. When we asked for a bag he literally tossed a bag on the counter and gave us no further assistance as if to say he's done with us. If there had not been others waiting I would have spoken to the manager. His attitude will keep me from going there. I don't know his name but if I go there again I will be sure to check his attitude.

Super convenient location, right near my house, and it's also convenient that I can get my prescriptions here. I can usually find everything I need to cook and clean with. Their flowers are also nice and fresh. The store is always nice and clean. Their bakery is great for custom cakes. However, the cost is extremely high. I bought stuff to make a casserole and some fruit and cheese and I paid over $80. Most of the time I walk out paying at least $150 for a small shop. It seems like their prices are only getting higher! Most people I know cringe at the thought of going to Vons because their prices are so high! Lower your prices!

This is a well stocked supermarket in the Hillcrest area of San Diego. The prices are good, the staff helpful, and there is a great deli inside. The women at the deli make an awesome custom made sandwich! Great place to shop when in the area!
