I visited Hillcrest recently and was pleased by how the gardens have been kept. My rating, however, is reflective on the quality of the mausoleum. Upon entering I was greeted with hot muggy air, cockroaches on plaques (I counted three during my visit), and air fresheners scattered around to mask the smell. This indicates to me that the mausoleum has begun to be neglected. While I would not expect it to smell fresh, I would hope that there was more effort placed to ensure that the room is comfortable for those who come to visit their loved ones. I may have come during an off time where there aren't many workers able to keep up with maintenance. I would be willing to visit again in the future if these concerns were addressed.
