Sadly it is necessary to share the whole story of Ms.Kapricks visits as she left several important details out. On her last visit we actually tried to send her dog home before being groomed. She has a habit of forgetting to brush but expects us to put her dog through the discomfort of de-matting. In the past, we have had to cut her dog shorter than she wanted because of this and she was not happy. On this occasion I told her it would be short again and maybe she would be better off going elsewhere rather than be mad at us. She ensured me it was fine. Alas, I was correct. We still have the mats that we had to shave off of the ears. Ear leathers are thin and sensitive and can tear. Ms. Kaspruck was shown those mats but conveniently left that out of her review. Several of us groom poodles for the highest level of akc dog shows, so we are familiar with that breed. Those dogs are maintained regularly and are not left in matted conditions. We can only work with what we have. Maybe more time brushing instead of writing inaccurate reviews would be in order.
