i’m not sure what exactly they are suppose to be helping with other than providing you with a short term therapist. i’ve been calling since last week and had their help applying for emergency rental assistance with raft due to needing to leave my current living circumstances because i have a stalker. I was reassured that they could help me apply for moving AND rental assistance and to call if i had any questions or concerns because they were there to help guide me through the process. I haven’t heard back from them despite leaving voicemails and calling multiple times telling them it’s an emergency and I keep being told we’ll put in a request to have a case manager get back to you in a few days (mind you this is a time sensitive emergency). Called Raft to explain to them that I’m in an emergency housing situation and they told me to contact BARCC so someone could call on my behalf and possibly speed up the process. I still haven’t heard back from anyone all day despite repeatedly telling them it’s an emergency and i’ve seen the person I have a restraining order against, around my neighborhood despite them being ordered to stay away. the police are no help and it feels like BARCC isn’t either. I wish instead of using language to make it seem like your safety is a priority to them, they were honest and said that they can help when it is convenient for them. I truly hope this man doesn’t come back and harm me before they get back to me

I called for help in July. Becca is the one who told me “We can help you with housing and to find a therapist.”. And I believed her. Now it’s November and I will be homeless in 7 days. BARCC did absolutely nothing. I called 3 times within the last 2 1/2 weeks and only received a call back today. The worker said she got my message LAST WEEK. For an organization that has the word “CRIIS” in its title should think about the length of time they take to return a call from someone in crisis. And yet they returned my call and having someone else call me. The only reason I’m now getting a call is because of the negative review I write on BARCCs fb page. Write a negative review and that’s when BARCC will decide to return your call. Then they will keep passing you around to other workers and you never end up getting the help they advertise. So now I’m wait once again for BARCC to help me. Wonder how long the wait will be this time? Oh but don’t forget, if you write a negative review they will get in contact with you within a a day. Remember this. Write a poor review and then they will want to help you

everybody was great here except for the woman that was assigned mycase who just yelled and screamed at me and then told me why don't I go get help from the Department of mental Health and I never wanted to come back because she made me feel so victimized and everything was my fault type of person! I'm hoping that one day she will get fired from here because she's definitely one of those types of people that intentionally treat you badly so she doesn't have to do her job! she makes you feel so horrible and she yells and screams at you and then calls so you will never come back!
