I love to comparison-shop. What shocked me though, is the fact that Safeway charges 30% more on most products than the competition. Take for instance a meat product I was interested in. At Kroger the price is 899 a pound, and that Safeway price is 1199 a pound. I don’t mind a little profit to the owner, but when you regularly charge 30 or even 40% more than the competition it’s got to be thievery.

I bought cold medicine among other things and when I got home it was not in my bags. Now I and my roommates are disabled with no car and it's a Sunday so no buses *and* it is about 5-6 miles round trip and they refused to help me in any way except offering a refund once I am able to get it. (Which would be Friday. Today is Sunday)

Safeway is my go to store for my family's needs. Been shopping here for over 5 years now. Never really had a problem. If there ever was a problem it usually got handled pretty quickly.. night staff are pretty chill and helpful..

Good, decent store. The lady in the meat dept. manager/butcher is awesome. She enjoys helping her customers and it shows, plus she knows the meat dept hands down. The store does tend to move things around more than I'd like, but the service is good, store is clean, and people are nice.

Everyone has a mask and followed social distancing. Always seeing employees cleaning everything.

Same. Nobody cares. Tina B, the manager, acts like nothing can touch her. Because it can't. One of her employees tried to lure my 9yo away from me with stickers and when I complained she couldn't care less. I had to start shopping elsewhere. I suggest you do the same.
I have never had a problem like that. You must have gotten a trainee. Union usually ensure that their members are trained properly. It's good to keep an eye on anyone who is packing up groceries and point out what you prefer and what's a problem. A cheerful attitude is also a help.

Not really sure I've only been there a couple of times.
Try joining the union Fyi. It assures that their employees aren't the brightest of the bunch. But it is Kitsap County.
I believe that the minimum age is 15 but as others have said try calling or even looking at the website.
