Beautiful views although it's very windy especially on the cold days. Was hoping they had the lighthouse open but they didn't. Parking is absolutely terrible and the parking lot needs to be smoothed out. Get here early or you don't get one of the maybe 20 spots.

Perfect place for a day trip. The town of North East has some really cool shops and great places to eat then go hike to the lighthouse and enjoy the views We travel from PA quite often for day trips here. Never disappoints

A nice walk to reach this place. Beautiful views of the bay. We were allowed to climb to the top of the lighthouse to survey the views and we visited the small gift shop here.

Absolutely, no swimming on trails for dangers of Clifton as well as eco systems are not balanced and cauae bad bacteria, sea lice ,etc. Therefore, it is highly advised against swimming on trails!! However, Elk Neck State Park is within a 2 mile radius.
It's like a 1.5 mile walk round trip... not bad at all
I'm not exactly sure. I thought I heard someone mention something as we were walking. But I do know it's a little bit of a hike and not a smooth terrain. I'd reach out to the personel in that area for sure. It's a beatiful view. Good luck. Best wishes
No it's free, but the parking is limited 20ish parking spots. The lighthouse it self is not open to the public year round unless the volunteers who take care of it our out there between May-July on good weather weekends and holidays.
About the picnic tables, NO. There Is a large grass field most sit and picnic. Also the light house closes at 2PM my kids were so upset we missed it by 1 minute and they would let us tour. Understandable, but be there accordingly to experience that! There is a hawk watch area with 2 picnic tables a qaurter of a mile before the lighthouse.
You would probably have to contact local DNR or Parks and recreation to arrange something like that.
