Bought a used bike from their rental a year ago. Drove 1h30 to get the bike since it was during the bike shortage. I received an email saying the bike was ready for pick up (and fully serviced). I show up and im being told we dont know if the bike has been service or not and to come back next week. After some time I get "confirmation" it has been serviced but im doubtful. I buy speedplay pedals and ask them to install those as well as a 350$crank power meter. I drive 1h30 bike home with the new pedal and after 10 min the pedal falls off. I had to go back for them to reinstall the pedal and make sure the thread wasn't damaged. No apologies, nothing during my visit. 1 year later the batteries from my power meter is dead and I need the 2mm wrench to remove the cover. The 350$ power meter box they gave me is missing the wrench ... Attention to details goes a long way...

Beautiful retail space, nice looking staff. Technically, the parts replacement on my older "retro" folding bicycle was properly done. Otherwise, the bicycle was returned to us in a filthy condition. For the price paid for replacement cables, the least should have included a proper clean-up. Not detailing or restoration because we can do that ourselves. We have actually been in both wholesale distribution and retail sales of bicycles so it was somewhat of a shock to receive it back from so called pros in such a state. A friend came by who had also been in the bike business and saw my bike in my car and was shocked. Next time we will go elsewhere. Friday...I heard from Jay at Bike and Blade who kindly understood our problem. I took the bicycle back to them and they made it as sparkly clean as possible for an old thing. I am extremely happy with their good finish to this story. I just added a few more stars,

I have purchased bikes from Berkshire Bike and Board over many years, as my enthusiasm for cycling grew. I have always received excellent advice from the store's friendly, knowledgeable staff. The mechanics and sales staff are all excellent. The bike fit process is done very carefully, taking account of each client's cycling experience, flexibility, objectives, and any special health issues. The store runs weekly rides for cyclists at all levels. The atmosphere is always friendly and congenial. Special orders for accessories and clothing are handled with expedience. This is a truly great bike store. Go nowhere else!
