The cost for a BOTOX treatment depends on the target area or areas and how many injections are needed. BOTOX can by priced per unit or per syringe, and that price varies from practice to practice. It's important not to bargain shop for the least expensive BOTOX treatment because the product may be counterfeit or the injector may not have adequate training.

People often associate spas with massages, manicures and pedicures, skin care, and other non-medical treatments. They're often called day spas. A med spa such as Chic Med offers many of those same procedures in addition to treatments that require additional training. These may include laser skin resurfacing, laser hair removal, and injectables such as BOTOX® Cosmetic and fillers. Med spas also have a medical director who is a licensed doctor.

Laser treatments can permanently reduce the amount of hair in the treatment area. Because hair grows in phases, it takes multiple treatments to get the desired results. Even though laser hair removal significantly reduces hair, it can't remove all hair from the targeted area.

ChicMed's co-owners, Mireille and Christine, opened the med spa in 2014. Both attended the Medical Esthetic Program at the Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics in Woburn and had more than 10 years of experience working in the esthetics field before starting ChicMed.
