Got firewood from eric's firewood for the first time this year. The wood looks great. Split ,good size pieces for the wood stove, no bark waste. Joe was awesome at getting truck in the yard to dump wood where we had a spot cleared and helped put the removable fence section back up before he left.Tommy the yard manager and the staff were really helpful coordinating our delivery . BTU stands for British Thermal Unit and is a traditional unit of heat. It is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one pound of water by one degree Fahrenheit. In terms of firewood, dense wood provides the best firewood, releasing more BTUs per volume of wood.
Denser hardwoods provide the best firewood, as they release more BTUs per volume. At Eric’s Firewood, we sell only dense hardwoods, including oak, maple, hickory, and birch. The denser and drier the firewood, the better it will burn and the more heat it will produce.
We offer delivery discounts for firewood ordered by September 1st.
Stacking services are available for an additional charge upon request, but are not included in our standard pricing.
A cord of firewood measures 4 feet wide x 4 feet high x 8 feet long and is 128 cubic feet in volume.
Our firewood is cut to 16 inches in length.
We sell seasoned hardwoods, including oak, maple, hickory, and birch.
Our firewood averages about 20% moisture content. We never sell firewood before it is fully seasoned.
