Fieldwork brewing company has been on my brewery bucket list for quite a while. I had high expectations, from reading the reviews and it being recommended by a close Instagram friend. The outdoor brewery is spacious with an industrial feel. The patio is a great place to sit and enjoy a cold beer. The staff was unwelcoming and standoffish. I explained I was there to buy beer to go and wanted to try samples of what they had available in cans. He stated he was only allowed to give me three samples. I ended up only buying one four-pack, but would have bought more if more samples were provided. After I picked my four-pack of beer, he processed my payment without a single word and walked away. If he would have engaged in a conversation or been polite, I would have left a tip. This could be a great date spot if you don't mind rude beertenders. Grab a tasty craft beer or a beer flight and find a shady spot to get to know each other. If the date is going well, grab another beer and have a friendly game of bocce ball. There is an amazing pizza place around the corner, if you'd rather grab a bite to eat. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

Hard to believe this spot has been here for four years now. Honestly, it feels like it's been here, like, forever. Fieldwork Brewing Company, too. Founded only in 2014? Less than ten years ago??? Seems like it is as much of a Bay Area institution as Anchor. That's the thing. The traditions here run deeply at Fieldwork. San Mateo, as well. It's where "tradition meets innovation." That's the motto of the San Mateo annual County Fair, which takes place each June nearby at Bay Meadows. Fieldwork's open air beer garden has absorbed and reflected some of that energy back. Look around. SurveyMonkey. OpenText. Blue Bottle. Roam artisan burgers. Tin Pot Creamery. Some of the best new living spaces on the Mid-Peninsula. Tuesday's here rock. Order something new from the menu. Remember to dress in layers. Don't overindulge. Chill. This is a place to relax. Rejuvenate. Recharge. To step off the moving train of work, life, and 24/7 social media. Even Google.

Loved this brewery which is in the Bay Meadows Delaware St area of San Mateo. The setting is very nice, new, clean, lots of seating, heat lamps. I had the Mosaic Box double ipa which was tasty and had a creamy texture. Didn't have the chance to try other beers because I kept going back to this.

A superb spot to go and grab a brew! It's all outdoors, so it's best to go when the weather is nice. They have a great selection of beers, so it's nice to find what you like by ordering a flight. My only recommendation to the owner would be to number the beers on the menu to make ordering a flight easier.

They sell crowlers (can/growlers) and fill growlers.
Hello Christopher, all of our taprooms do have guest WiFi networks for our guests. Please inquire with any of our taproom associates for login information. Cheers!
Yes. There is plenty of space for children and the tap room allows them.
Hi Greg. We do offer gift certificates! They can be purchased online at https://shop.fieldworkbrewing.com. Cheers!
Parking was rough when I went last time. There's no parking lot so I ended up parking 3 blocks away. That was Friday evening after 5pm.
Yes they do allow outside food and it's in a populated area, so I am sure there are options for delivery.
I have seen them reserve tables for larger parties. Call and ask for accommodations and see what they say
No WiFi. Think about talking with friends and enjoying a beer in good company instead.
