I have been increasingly disappointed in this audiological service. The attention used to be friendly and personal; now it is awkward, abrupt, and even dismissive. The purpose of the service appears to be to promote Dr. Darrow, his book, and his research rather than to improve the hearing and the quality of life of the people served here. In my opinion, there is greater emphasis on "referring new customers" in order to drum up business than there is on helping hearing-impaired people to enjoy communication and relationship. The administrative effort of keeping records seems slack; it took the employee an extra effort to research that I had recently been into the office at least twice in recent months for problems with my aids. The change of name from "Hearing and Balance Centers of New England" to "Hearing and Brain..." is also being managed poorly, with some documentation with the original name and other documentation with the new name. I was not sure that I was calling the correct place due to this inconsistency.

Tracy and Joyce are terrific. Tracy is through with the exam. Very professional and takes time to explain everything. Doesn't rush the visit. explains everything. Joyce is always available to give me supplies when needed. I highly recommend this office on Shore Drive in Worcester.
