Every time I call the person who answers the phone call is extremely rude and appears to have a snide and cocky demeanor. Not very helpful and no people skills.. Why work with the public if you don't like people.

So RUDE and Dismissive. Do the clerks understand that the people who walk in are looking for their help and not always know exactly how the process works.

I went to social security in Pawtucket months ago, the guys was very nice and very helpful, we could update my information because I’m actually living in providence and I needed another document, he explained to me and Today I went with the document to the social security in providence, the woman in the cabine number 5 Didn’t even answer when I said good morning, the office opens 9, was 9:05 and she was already in a mood, the place was completely empty, just the security tram there, me and my husband and she couldn’t talk to me, she couldn’t help, she couldn’t explain, awful person, Very unprofessional and I left very upset because you go to a place that is supposed to help you with your documents and they don’t care enough to give you a small information, people like her should not be working in this job!

Never been so annoyed(all these awful reviews might as well get rid of the whole buliding). Asked a women to check the Status of myapplication. Aware they would be closing in like 10 mins. Instead she stated excuses and hung up on me so she wouldn’t have to do her job. Hoping the calls are truly recorded because after I check the status tomorrow, best believe Im going to be a Karen and ask to speak to a manger about my disappointment. Ridiculous, especially something serious like someone SS.

How do I get a new social security card
Yes, you should be eligible to receive a portion of your ex-husbands benefits. You'll have to call, or better yet go to your local Social Security office to get the exact details and guidelines and apply for the benefits if you qualify. If they give you a problem, or you feel they may owe you back benefits from when you first qualified for the benefits, I would advise you to hire an attorney who specializes in Social Security benefits...you won't need to pay them up front and they'll normally take 33% of whatever they get you with the maximum fee being around $6,000, probably depending on your state but I'm not 100% sure about this...it's like that in Rhode Island anyway but since Social Security is a federal program I would imagine it's the same in each state. Good luck I hope you get it.
Maybe i don't know. Im trying my best to help.
There is metered parking in front of building and nearby. In your search for parking you may have to walk around the corner or down the street to get to building.
No appointment is needed.
You can go there with papers showing it's you and get one
The office is only open to appointments only . If you need a social security card go to the website download an application. Only option and it comes in the mail. Hope that helped.
You might want to call 211 for that information.I don't know! 😍😁☺😜
